I had a lot of 2 days old bread in my cupboard and I just did not really know what to do with them. I did not want them to go to waste, so I remember one of my mother's idea: make french toasts or "bread pudding cake: boudin, ". So I opted for the cake. It was really easy to make it...
Then, I decided that it will taste great with ice- cream and some topping...

Orange cake...
Have you ever had too much oranges that you could not finish them because they are not sweet enough? There are not too many things you can do with sour oranges. You could make orange jams or orange juice.
So, I decided to try an orange cake recipe. It turned out really well and does not need a lot of sugar. And here is the result:

Eclairs au chocolat or Coco puffs
Have you ever heard about that French pastry called "Eclairs au chocolat" or "choux a la creme"? Well, they are also known as coco puffs. I always wanted to learn how to make them and I did see one of my Tahitian friends making them. It made me want to try and make those delicious pastries. I received all different kind of recipes, but none of them worked out. I tried to make them three times, but with no success.
So last night I decided that I will try again... and YES! They all turned out great! I was super thrilled when I saw them... Enjoy the pictures!...

Local island dish!
Po'e is a Tahitian dessert made with bananas and coconut milk.
It is very delicious and I have to admit that
my dad makes it better than me...
All you need is:
- Ripe bananas
- Sugar
- "Tapioca" starch
- Coconut milk
(if you are far from the islands, 1 can of coconut milk should be enough)
Boil the bananas until they turn purple. Take the water out and mix them. Add some sugar. Add the tapioca startch (half of the obtained amount of mashed bananas). Pour the mixture into a tray and bake it for 25-30 min! Easy and simple~!
And here is what it looks like...
From left to right: Taro, baked fish, po'e
Dad's best raw fish ever with coconut milk.
The taro's sent by Voltina (my sister) all the way from Tahiti.
Very nice baked fish.
The Chef with his assistant! Love you mom and dad :)
